Amazon makes Prime cancellation deliberately confusing with multiple confirmation screens and guilt-trip messaging. But it takes about 3 minutes if you know exactly where to click. They may even offer a partial refund.

Navigate directly to amazon.com/mc/pipelines/cancelPrime — this skips several navigation screens. Sign in if prompted.

Click "End My Benefits"

Amazon will show you a summary of all Prime benefits you'll lose (free shipping, Prime Video, Prime Music, Photos storage, etc.). Click "End My Benefits" to proceed.

Decline the retention offers

Amazon will offer alternatives: switching to annual plan (cheaper per month), pausing membership, or reminding you of upcoming deliveries. Select "Continue to Cancel" to move past these.

Choose when to end membership

Select either "End on [renewal date]" (keep benefits until billing period ends) or "End Now" (immediate cancellation with potential partial refund).

Choose 'End Now' only if you want a partial refund for unused days. Otherwise, keep access until your renewal date.

Confirm cancellation

Click the final "Cancel My Membership" button. Amazon sends a confirmation email. Check your inbox to verify the cancellation went through.
