How to Cancel PlayStation Plus on Web, PS5, or PS4 (2026)

The cancel button stops the next PlayStation Plus payment. Your current Essential, Extra, or Premium benefits continue until the end of the period you already paid for, so you do not need to wait until the last day to cancel.

Cancel on the web

Sign in to PlayStation Account Management. Choose Subscription from the menu on the left, then choose Cancel Subscription next to PlayStation Plus.

Check that you signed in with the account that pays for PlayStation Plus. A family member's account may be using benefits purchased by someone else on the console.

Cancel on PS5

Open Settings, then Users and Accounts. Choose Account, Payment and Subscriptions, Subscriptions, PlayStation Plus, and Cancel Subscription.

The screen should show the date your benefits end. Cancelling does not remove the remaining paid time.

Cancel on PS4

Open PlayStation Plus, then Manage Membership and Subscription. Choose Cancel Subscription and follow the confirmation screen.

Some regional screens still use the wording Turn Off Auto-Renewal. It serves the same purpose and stops the next payment.

Already charged? Keep the receipt and the cancellation confirmation. They are the useful part of a refund request.

Save the confirmation

Confirm the cancellation, note the end date, and save a screenshot or email. If the page now offers Reactivate Subscription, the renewal has been turned off.

Copy any cloud saves you need before the membership ends. Online storage is a PlayStation Plus benefit.

For US accounts, the standard subscription refund window is 14 days from signing up and applies to the first payment, not an ordinary recurring charge. PlayStation may reduce the refund if you used membership benefits. Check the policy for your account region before submitting a request.

What happens to PS Plus Extra or Premium catalog games after cancellation?
They remain playable until your membership end date, provided the title is still in the catalog. After the membership ends, catalog access stops.
Will I lose my free PS Plus games?
Monthly games obtained through the membership become unavailable when the membership ends. PlayStation says redeemed packs and avatars, along with games bought at a member discount, remain yours.
Can I play online without PS Plus?
Most paid PS4 and PS5 games require PlayStation Plus for online multiplayer. Some games do not. Check the game's PlayStation Store listing before cancelling if online play matters to you.
Can I get a refund for PlayStation Plus?
For US accounts, PlayStation's current policy allows a request within 14 days of signing up. The standard subscription refund covers the first payment and excludes an ordinary recurring charge.
